Austria can expect a mostly sunny and, in the west, pleasantly mild start to the week before a shift to cooler, unsettled conditions arrives by Friday. According to the latest forecast from GeoSphere Austria, temperatures could climb as high as 24°C in some regions before a northwesterly low-pressure system brings a noticeable cooldown toward the end of the week.
Monday: Sunshine in the South, Showers in the North
The week begins with dry and fairly sunny weather across the south, southeast, and far west. Elsewhere, cloud cover dominates early in the day, especially along the northern Alpine rim, where scattered showers are expected.

- Afternoon trend: Showers taper off, clouds gradually break, and sunshine returns in many areas
- Temperatures:
- Morning: 1–13°C
- Afternoon: 13–23°C, warmest in the south and southeast

Tuesday: Increasing Sunshine, Mild in the West and South
Clouds linger through the morning in the northern Alpine regions and parts of the southeast, but sunshine gains the upper hand as the day progresses.

- Winds: Light to moderate, occasionally brisk in the east from west to northeast

A ridge of high pressure delivers bright, mostly sunny conditions with only harmless afternoon cumulus clouds. Cooler air flows into eastern Austria, keeping temperatures more subdued there.

Sunshine continues to dominate, though some extensive cloud fields drift in from the north later in the day.

Friday: Uncertain Forecast as a Low Approaches
A small-scale low-pressure system moves in from the northwest, making Friday’s forecast less certain. Current indications suggest widespread cloud cover with rain or showers across much of Austria, while the southern Alps may remain somewhat brighter.
